Welcome to **Kiosk Analytics**! This powerful feature provides you with real-time insights into how your community is interacting with your Interactive Yearbooks at the kiosk.

By understanding what your users are engaging with the most, you can make informed decisions about content and see exactly what memories matter most to your audience.

## How to Access Kiosk Analytics

1. Log in to your **Admin Dashboard**.
2. In the main navigation sidebar, click on **Analytics**.
3. By default, the dashboard displays data from the **Last 30 Days**. You can change this timeframe using the dropdown menu in the top right corner to view data from the last 7, 30, 90, or 365 days.

## Understanding Your Key Metrics (KPIs)

At the top of your dashboard, you will see several quick-glance statistics. Here is what each metric means:

*   **Total Sessions:** The total number of individual kiosk interactions. A session begins when a user taps "Start" on the Kiosk screensaver and ends when the screen goes idle.
*   **Pages Flipped:** The total number of pages viewed across all yearbooks. A page view is logged when a user stays on a specific page for more than 10 seconds.
*   **Searches Performed:** The total number of successful search queries (such as looking up student names) executed in the kiosk.
*   **Avg Pages / Session:** The average number of pages a user looks at during a single session before walking away. This is a great indicator of user engagement!
*   **Gallery Views:** The total number of times specific gallery photos were opened and viewed in full size.
*   **Avg Session Time:** The average duration (in minutes and seconds) a user spends actively interacting with the Kiosk per session.

## Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

**Q: How often is the analytics data updated?**
A: Data is synced from the kiosks to your dashboard in near real-time (kiosks flush their queue every 30 seconds). If you want to see the absolute latest data, click the **Refresh** icon next to the timeframe dropdown.

**Q: Does Kiosk Analytics track personally identifiable information (PII)?**
A: No. Kiosk Analytics tracks anonymous usage data (like page views, search terms, and session duration) to protect user privacy.

**Q: What happens if the kiosk loses internet connection?**
A: Don't worry! If a kiosk temporarily goes offline, it will securely store the analytics data locally. Once the internet connection is restored, it will automatically sync the missing data back to your dashboard.

> **Pro Tip:** Keep an eye on the **Top Searches** and **Most Viewed Pages** over a 90-day period. This can give you great ideas for what kind of content to feature more prominently in next year's yearbook!
